I am a professor of philosophy at Miami University. I am spending the 2014-2015 academic year at Miami University’s Dolibois European Center (MUDEC) in Differdange, Luxembourg. This is an account of how that year went. Miami leases the very impressive Château de Differdange, which is huge and I think beautiful.

The Center has both local and Ohio-based faculty members. The Ohio-based faculty members live in the Château (technically, we are required to, but it sounds strange to say that you were forced to live in a castle).
