{"id":222,"date":"2014-09-25T18:17:29","date_gmt":"2014-09-25T18:17:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briandomino.com\/mudec\/?p=222"},"modified":"2014-09-25T18:17:40","modified_gmt":"2014-09-25T18:17:40","slug":"24-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briandomino.com\/mudec\/?p=222","title":{"rendered":"24 September"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In addition to teaching, I went to\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: Times;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; line-height: normal;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mengdrogerie.lu\/index.php\/de\/karriere\">Meng Drogerie<\/a> to get a travel sized can of shaving cream for my upcoming trip and laundry detergent, well, because I needed it. I&#8217;m not sure if &#8220;meng&#8221; means something in Luxembourgish or if it&#8217;s a surname or what. &#8220;Drogerie&#8221; is German (and perhaps Luxembourgish) for drugstore. This is an interesting class of stores that I don&#8217;t think we have in the states. If you didn&#8217;t know better, you might think that they sold liquids that come in plastic bottles.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: normal;\">Most<\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; line-height: normal;\">\u00a0of the store is shampoo, detergents, and so on. They also have toilet paper, razors, and that kind of thing, but they do not carry any drugs, not even over-the-counter. Supermarkets carry some of these items but the selection is bigger at the drogerie.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Later that evening, I went out to dinner with my colleagues. One of the most delightful traditions in Differdange is getting food on the house.
